Eifrig Publishing wants to encourage young authors and they’re hosting a writing event to highlight the work of young creatives. The lucky winners of YACK (Young Authors – Creative Kids) will have their books published as a paperback book with all proceeds going to a charity or non-profit of the child’s choice. We can’t think of a better win-win contest than this.
How to Enter
All kids up to and including age 14 are eligible to enter prose, poetry, picture books, etc. Kids can submit their stories (illustrated or not) by uploading them to the website www.eifrigpublishing.com or sending them to firstname.lastname@example.org. All submissions will all be published online as “flip books.”
All entries must be submitted by September 1, 2011
At the end of summer, a jury will be selecting one book by an elementary-aged child and one middle-schooler.
The winning stories will be made into a paperback book. The winners can select a local non-profit or charity to which all proceeds will be donated from any sales of the book.
